Chairperson of the Executive Committee of the 2008 Air Transport Research Society World Conference, held in Athens, Greece. The conference was co-organized by the Hellenic Aviation Society and the University of the Aegean and attracted more than 350 delegates from all over the world. Dr Taieb Cherif, Secretary General of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) was the keynote speaker at the opening plenary session.
